Can we trust our feelings?

Can we trust our feelings, hopes, faith, or intuitions?

If God is known through these means, can we trust we know anything about him?

You absolutely cannot trust your feelings and that is not the means by which we come to know God.

You can never trust your emotions because emotions reflect the works of the flesh. The fruits of the Spirit are not reflected through the emotions, but through the spiritual aspects of a person. this is the best that i can do to describe it. Decisions should never be made based on the emotions, as almost always this will lead you down the wrong track. Base your actions on spiritual promptings by praying over what you have a question about. If it 'feels' good, then step back and look at it real good, because there is a chance that the devil is trying to play you for a fool. Take it from one who has experience with this. If what you head is telling you to do does not match biblical principles, then stay away from it.

God lives in you and makes himself known through your heart and spirit. You can not trust your feelings. Sometimes they are correct, but most of the time they are not. Feelings and emotions are easily manipulated. Depend on faith in God.

Feelings are pure emotion. You can’t trust them.

Intuition, I believe, is the ability to pick up information that you can’t readily assign to your five senses. I trust intuition.

Faith leads to a relationship with God. It is a starting point and a destination.

God is not known through feelings. He gave us a mind, heart and soul, thus he is known by all of these. Take the time to read the arguments for and against the existence of God. They will stretch your brain, but it is well worth it. When you correctly decide that there must be a God, ask what his nature would be. You will find that the God of Abraham is the only God that fits the bill.

We cannot totally trust our feelings. Can we totally trust our senses? Can we totally trust our "thinking?" Can we trust that the chemical processes in our brain have any correlation to what happens outside of it? If so, why is that the case?

At first you can see the God by these things only. After that you may see him as you see the human being.

All trust comes from God alone. He alone can show you where to place your trust and where to stand firm. All else is nothing.

Yes we must trust our feelings to start off... How do you know you love someone?... you feel it.
How do you know your parents love you?... you feel it.
How do you know God is real and He loves you?...you feel it.

Of course this is only how you start off. Once you have felt His love then you need to study about him and learn of him. Read the Parable of the sower. The seeds are Gods word. The only way to let the seed be planted is by feeling it's truthfulness, then we must nourish it.
