Help! I can't seem to find a flower girl for my wedding that's in less than 4 months. We asked 2 flower girls that's family backed out on us after giving us their word. I'm thinking about asking a couple we know (that we're not that close with) that has a 6 or 7 year old daughter. But if they say no then we're out of ideas. Can we not have a flower girl for our wedding?

There is no rule or law that you have to have a flower girl.
I am a wedding planner of 5 years and i prefer when my clients don't have kids in the wedding - way less hassle.

You don't have to have a flower girl. I had one, my daughter lol, but i didn't have a ring bearer because i didn't know any little boys the right age. If i had a son i would have been the opposite. Weddings today can be however you want. Tons of people and children in them, no people or children. You can have whatever you want. Stop stressing about the flower girl. Just get a few extra flower pieces for the church. You'll be fine. Good Luck!

I would say you don't have to have a flower girl. In fact, you could save the flower petals for after the wedding and give them to the guests to throw as you walk back down the aisle as a married couple.

No you don't have to have a flower girl. My moms wedding went just fine without a flower girl, I am using my 5 year old sister. You know any one will work, although the most traditional age is between 3-9 maybe even 10 yrs old. hope it all works out.

Do you really want one? I didn't have a flower girl and neither did my sister and our weddings were beautiful without it. My best friend, rather than a ring bearer had flower boys...dressed them up in tuxes and gave them top hats with rose petals in them and it was sooo cute (of course they were like 3 and 4 years old)! So if you can get a boy but give it a more manly/boy-like name for him then you can try that, otherwise, you don't need a flower person. Hope this helps some and congrats and best wishes!

The wedding my daughter is a flower girl in will be the first wedding I will have ever seen a flower girl in. In my 31 years, I've never seen a flower girl or ring bearer before.

It's not necessary to have a flower girl. It is possible to just have a ring bearer, you can omit both, or you can have both.
Don't ask people to have their daughter be your flower girl if you're not close to them. You're putting them in an awkward position, and they'll just feel used by you.
You're better off not having a flower girl, than to ask people to have their daughter in your wedding.

i have been to 3 weddings this year that didnt have a flower girl and the weddings turned out beautifully.
people have weddings in so many different styles today that people will not think its weird you dont have a flower girl.
dont stress over the flower girl, you have a lot of other stuff to stress over in a wedding.
good luck!

You don't have to have a flower girl. Its all what you want your wedding to look like. If you feel you need to have a flower girl, then you will find one. I didn't have one for my wedding and I don't think anyone missed it.
Good Luck!!

You don't have to have a flower girl at your wedding. My sister is getting married in a few months and she is not having a flower girl either.
