The back is telling that you did something not right. Now depending on what you did, how old are you and what is causing the pain. Most of the pain in back is caused by muscles being abused. The best thing at this time is to take it easy. Take some pain medicine - sold over the counter- and keep doing your work easily. The pain would subside. Without know the good hisotry about the pain it is very difficult to guide you further. If after three days of taking pain medicine and doing things in an easy way, it doesnot go away then see your doctor.

Well this seems to be a perennial problem among many ladies.Be it because of desk jobs, or pregancy or because of putting on weight.
I too suffered from it for many years.Went to many doctors, bbut to no avail. Finally i started Yoga thrice a week for an hour along with 20 mins brisk walk 5 times a week and a strict diet. But remember dont starve, thats not dieting.I not only lost weight, i felt better and wooosh my back pain dissappeared.
Also remember to sleep on a hard mattesss. Now a days you get excellent orthopeadic mattress, yes they are slightly expensive but worth the money, for a good nights sleep.
All the best hope u get well soon.

try whats called a "tens unit", this device is like a small beeper with two wires coming out that connect to tape on a persons back the device is turned up to decrease the pain, it sends a small current through the spine, neutralising the pain "electric" message. it tingles and is non-evasive and more natural form of pain management... no drugs needed

Before you begin doing any exercises to relieve the back pain, what caused it?
If you lifted something heavy, bent over the wrong way or injured it in an auto accident, would determine the kind of therapy to use. If it were caused by lifting or an accident, please get your back checked by an orthopedic doctor or see a reputable chiropractor where it can be x-rayed.
