I don't understand why it's going on here. The stupid Sunni Shia debate? When Allah sent Hazrat Mohammad Peace be upon him as a prophet, he only called people to Islam. He didn't mentioned any sects. Islam is a complete religion in all respects and it doesn't need to be devided on packed into different boxes of sect. You argue and divide into parties of Abu Bakr (R.A) and Ali (R.A). You don't know taht Abu Bakr was the best friend of Prophet (PBUH) and Ali was the beloved and son-in-law of our Prophet (PBUH). You know very clearly how much he (PBUH) loved them both. Ali and Abu Bakr are not two (Moaaz Allah) rivals. You know how much all the Muslims along with Bakr respected Master Ali. How can you love The Holy Prophet (PBUH) if you don't love his friends and you are dividing them into parties? What are you doing. Dividing and breaking Mohammad's (PBUH) Islam, Allah's Islam and calling yourselves Muslims?

Prophet (PBUH) predicted that there would be sects. I was born in a Sunni family and I follow Qur'an and Hadith and act upon Sunnah. There was nothing that Prophet (PBUH) didn't tell us about how should we act upon Islam. O.K! There are sects. Sunni, Shia, Ehle Hadith, Ghazali etc. Because Allah allowed Muslims to use Ijtehaad for certain matters they can't understand from Qur'an and Hadith. That's why our Ulmaas just did some different ijtehaads from each other and the sects came into existance. But are you just going to hate your Muslim brother because he doesn't offers his prayer like you do? Ali and Bakr are both our Prophet's (PBUH) friends and beloved. If they are not seperated, why are you trying to seperate each other becaue of the false thought that they were both enemies.

THE ENEMIES OF ISLAM WANT US TO FIGHT EACH OTHER
THIS A GREAT CHANCE FOR THEM TO DESTROY ISLAM

OK..I understand that we should all be one! Hurray! Yes! Lets! BUT...Fine even if Iman Ali and Abu Bakr were best friends, even if they were brothers, it doesn't matter. Prophet Muhammad said "after I die you must follow Iman Ali, he is the MOST suited for the position." How can you honestly justify going AGAINST prophet Muhammad??
Does it not say in the Quran that whatever Muhammad says are words inspired from God? That Muhammad must be respected and his words listened to?
I don't see how you can justify going against him and then saying it doesn't matter and this is what he wanted...
He knew there would be two sects because he knew that people would rally against him and forget what he told them...

Listen I am a Muslim just like you are. This is how I look at it. It will do you know good to holler around here, because it is out of our hands. People follow the practices they do for a reason, that reason being it is what their parents did and their parents before them did. Since none of us can go back in time when it all began and settle it then and there, the best thing to do is to tolerate it.

The words secularism and Christian have been hijacked by folk like your self and given implied meaning that the do not deserved. There unique meaning of secularism develop into non secular indifference. on the grounds that Jesus preached tolerence of all others, there could desire to be no conflict between secularism and christianity. regrettably human beings like your self are making use of the notice secularism to point a level of non secular intolerence. needless to say all non secular communities could be unhappy with that. Roman Catholics won't be able to unite with the different group because of the fact their cult relies upon on the concept that their chief is spiritually infallible and that all and sundry non-catholics are going to burn in hell. Pope's have spent a millenium destroying the historicaly record, so as that they are not going to choose to allow their flock to return into touch with people who've abundantant evidence that what they're taught is hokum.

For the girl above, (the fa... talking about 9/11)
what about your Oklahoma city bombing sins??? That happened on April 19, 1992 or 95 or something like that???

Nobody is thinking about the people who died that day. Nobody.
Wait until 9/11 comes then everybody on this site will offer prayers, but nobody is offering prayers for the victims of 4/19.

I personally think everyone should be united regardless of what religion they believe in. You know the main cause of pride, prejudice and racism is due to the fighting between different united groups, who claim superiority against one another.

Many people call themselves Christians, Muslims, Buddhists or other faiths for the name sake of their representation but they don't really represent anything if they are not going to practice what they had learnt from their basic tenets.

As-salaamu 'alaykum akhi.

[42.13] He has made plain to you of the religion what He enjoined upon Nuh (Noah) and that which We have revealed to you and that which We enjoined upon Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses) and Isa (Jesus) that keep to obedience and be not divided therein; hard to the unbelievers is that which you call them to; Allah chooses for Himself whom He pleases, and guides to Himself him who turns (to Him), frequently.

Er, dude, the Muslims here ARE united. No thanks to the unfair presecution we've been given.

If you want to say that, tell it to those who really are.
