That's my opinion, if he were anything other than a magician why not preform some serious miracles like stopping war and starvation? Also that's supposing he existed at all. Just a thought but if some of today's talented magicians could do some of their tricks in those days would we all be praying to David Copperfield etc?

Ask the wiccans and they will list Moses as one of the top magicians though he was more a great prophet than a magician. A magician just tricks your eyes into believing something miraculous has happened while the truth would be otherwise. Jesus was God. He is also the Saviour of mankind. No magician would come anywhere near to these qualifications. Enlighten me with David Copperfield and Paul Mckenna - who were they and what did they do?

I would not say it is true, Simon Magi was in the old and new testament. The word Simony comes from him. The three Magi visited Jesus at birth. Isis, Horus and Osiris predated Christ and employed magic, also Noah, King Solomon. Jesus, was a true healer and a true magician never claims the power to be their own. Personally I think Paul McKenna and David Copperfield are like tricksters, entertainment it may be but it is not miraculous, or magic.

He was described as a magician in the Jewish texts (an extra biblical reference many forget) but that is to be expected of the people that crucified him.
He sent his apostles out several times to heal the sick and drive out demons so that doesn't work. He even told his apostles that they would do greater works than he has if they had faith. In Luke 9 he said about a man doing works in his name:
49"Master," said John, "we saw a man driving out demons in your name and we tried to stop him, because he is not one of us."
50"Do not stop him," Jesus said, "for whoever is not against you is for you."
No magician has ever been whipped, beaten, crucified, pierced with a spear and rose from the dead so he obviously was who he said the son of God sent to pay for the sins of the world who ever believes in him will be saved. John 3: 14 to 20. The fact his apostles went from running away to standing in the market and mostly dying a violent death show this was no tickster. No one will die to protect David Copperfield's illusions especially something like crucifiction.
As for the Crucifixion if the person escaped or survived the Roman practised was for that guard to take his place so we can be sure that the guards were sure and that is why he was pierced with the spear. John 19: 34.

No Jesus was an illusionist like Copperfield & Mckenna. Magic is a force not party tricks. Jesus stud on the beach and walked along the waters edge when his desipales saw him walk on water.

Ceasar grew to become into greater often happening than George Washington. The previous testomony tells of the arriving of Jesus, and the recent testomony tells of existence for the duration of and after Jesus. in the previous testomony there have been particular prophets who had unexplained powers from God whilst He grew to become into attempting to make a factor. in the recent testomony, the Apostles had powers of therapeutic, etc. which grew to become into meant for coaching and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We will never truly understand how Jesus did the things he did we just accept them. He certainly wasn't a magician

He is not a magician, but He had power to perform incredible miracles because He is God.
Also, He never said that He would not tolerate imitators (where do you hear this from?)
