Many people would find this a good thing.

On the other hand, it begs the question has your ex- done stuff that has traumatized you so much that you are refusing to remember it?

THAT in turn brings up the question - do you really wanna know?

Most people with this scenario would prefer to go about their lives happily and not be bothered by it at all. Sometimes people do try this and come to some kind of wierd block in the road - often some sort of a sexual dysfunction or a paranoia or some strange hangup that interferes with life. In this case they may elect to seek therapy and see if they can work through the problem. This might be a very confrontational thing.

The real question here is ... why do you want to? What difference does it make? I';m sure if you ran into him at the market you'd know who he was, but why do you force yourself to bring him to mind? Let it go and get on with life. Remember, however, breaking up is a lot like a death, you need a period of time to mourn, and it's obvious you haven't given yourself enough time in between relationships because you are still obsessed with this other guy.

It sometimes takes 2 years for all to get tied up. You are blocking pain, and are only processing it bits at a time, perhaps in dreams. It's OK, but remember, if you are with someone else now, they want and deserve all you can give. If you find yourself holding back, you are not really ready. Go to groups like CODA to work out stuff.

A person is not "bad" based on physical apperance. A murder is usually a bad thing but it is all circumstantial. Clearly you dont have enough information to provide facts. Everything you have stated is opinion. So clearly you are upset. Which im not sure why you sound like you are reading a book. Or a bad breakup with whoever. So to answer your question, no, you cannot be physically "bad" only mentally.

Forget it. Be happy with the guy you're with now. You're officially over your ex. Nothing's wrong with you, enjoy the present and forget the past. Congrats!

My big milestone was about 5 months after the break-up when I realized that the day that would have been our 3 year anniversary came and went, and I realized it two days later!

Either you're a glutton for punishment or this is becoming a creative writing forum. Why would you want to remember a painful experience instead of being happy?

Physically may be impossible, but mentally you can, and you have to. Other wise you get physic. Good luck.
