It sure is.
The fact that God could enjoy paradise with his faithful followers while human beings roast and roll in pain, shows the extent of his bipolar nature.
Either he is incredibly cruel or he doesn't exist. No other options.
Chris P - you are seriously stating that rejecting a God who is cloaked in mystery and emotion, and has no tangible proof for his existence deserves ETERNAL torture?
Can you grasp how cruel that is? Or are you somehow able to justify ETERNITY in pain for not being able to logically grasp the existence of God?
Hanging someone for stealing a candy bar is nicer than dooming them to eternal suffering for rejecting a believe.

No, no, he would *allow* eternal torture. We don't know that God would have the fortitude to actually do the torturing. He would simply cast someone into Hell and turn his back on the sinner.
It is a strange little paradox of a good being willing to allow great harm to come to people, especially if their crime is to adopt the logical belief that God doesn't exist (as God chooses not to make himself known to people).
I would wager that most mortals--if given sufficient power--would choose to end suffering. They would ease the pain of others. Most mortals would not want to have anyone eternally tortured.
How is it that most mortals are more moral than God? The short answer is: They probably aren't. But they are more moral than the corrupt priests of the past who invented these scare tactics in order to strengthen their own numbers.

I am a Christian, but i agree with non Christians and some Christians on the idea of an eternal burning hell. I just couldn't worship that kind of God, and I dont believe He is that kind of God. the answer is eternal death which is logical and fair because some do not want eternal life.

God isn't going to torture us. Being apart from God for an eternity IS the torture.
If we deny Him now, He will deny us on the day of judgement.

In a sense, yes. But you have to understand your terms.
First: an "evil God" couldn't exist under the Christian definition of God, since God is the creator who cannot contradict himself and evil is that which contradicts God. So an "evil God" (such as it is) would be a God which contradicted himself. If this were a reality, then we wouldn't be able to depend on things like physics, since those are laws written by God and then God would be constantly violating himself.
But a "good God" is not exactly the opposite of an "evil God." A "good God" would be defined as a God who administers justice, mercy, and love.
Now, if I love you, and someone breaks into your car or house and destroys your most valuable posession, then as someone who loves you, I need to cry out for justice, don't I? And what does this justice require? Replace the item? What if they can't afford to? Make them work? What if they refuse? Put them in prison? What if they won't learn a lesson in prison? Still send them to prison so that others will be detured from doing the same and being sent to prison?
But if I love you and *you* break into someone's house and destroy their most valueable posession and refuse to work to pay it off and can't afford to get them a new one, then instead of crying for justice, I will be calling out for mercy. To obtain this mercy, I will try to say that you have learned your lesson and will do better next time.
If I were the man whose house you broke into, and I loved you, and you destroyed my most valuable posession, then I would want you to learn your lesson, but once you had learned your lesson, I'd want to extend mercy.
So what if I were the judge, and you had broken into multiple people's homes and broken things from all of them? And one of the homes was mine? And you were my friend and I loved you? Now what do I do?
That is the position that God is in. He is judge, he loves us, but we have both broken his trust and the trust of those around us. We won't learn a lesson in Hell, but if we are allowed to roam free then he will not be administering justice.

An evil God would compromise with evil. He would allow evil to coexist with the abscence thereof. There is a time, God says, when there will be a separation between those that chose not to trust Him, and those that do trust Him.
An evil god is not trustworthy.

The position that people go to a fiery hell for and suffer torments is based on the assumption that they are sinners in a large way! Isn't it?
Well, meditate then what sins they are being tormented for after reading Rom 6:7 (KJV) " 7For he that is dead is freed from sin. "
The condition of the dead is found here on the names of these direct links:

There is no "position", only the truth. God loves you. We exist for God's pleasure. He gave us Himself as Jesus to save us from our sin. Either you accept God's precious gift, the blood of Jesus, and live or you don't and you die. Satan's only trick is deception. It is working on you apparently. Just ask God to reveal to you His plan. He says that if you seek Him, you will find Him. Simple huh?

Yes. You'd be suprised what kinds of things are tolerable for the greater good. If you are unwilling to suffer the pain from pulling out a splinter, your whole arm could get infected and you could die...
