I agree with you. Of course it's arrogant, but it's the major selling point of the religion: only if you join us do you get into heaven. There was a professor at Virginia Tech, Prof. Librescu, who blocked the doorway of his classroom so his students could get out the window. He was killed while saving their lives. He's Jewish; he's being buried in Israel. I have no use for a heaven that would not accept a man like this, and I have no use for people who think that he doesn't deserve heaven because he was not Christian.

Not all Christians believe or say that. Only God can judge whats in a persons heart. God gives everyone free will. You have a choice of which path you take, the path to God or the path away from God. Christianity is not a religion . The religions that fall under Christianity are Catholic, Lutheran, Baptist, Methodist, etc. Christianity is a relationship with God. Its not what religion you follow,a religion is not going to get you to heaven, it is what path you follow, to God or a way from God.

OKay, I don't know who Dalai Llama is...but anyways In my opinion as long as someone has accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, they try to follow his commands and if something wrong is done they ask for forgiveness....I think they'll go to Heaven

I'm a Christian and I don't believe that everyone is going to heaven. The Bible clearly states differently.
And those just claiming to be Christians, and not proving so through works aren't going to Heaven as they claim either.
You shouldn't dislike Christianity as a whole, just find a religion that recognizes truth in the Bible. One that does not teach that only "professed Christians" go to heaven.

Christians believe that only the people who accept Christ into their hearts and lives will go to Heaven because that is one of the fundamental teachings of the religion. There is only one true God so therefore other religions who worship different Gods are false religions.

First Peace and Love to You . Religion does not get you
into heaven . To some golf is a religion and I don't really
believe that it will get them into heaven . Heaven is Gods
House and He will let whom ever He Want In and , He has
told No One can go to the Father except thru thru Son
( Jesus Christ ) There is Clear Bible Teachings from Jesus
on this in the Book of Matt: , and Jesus said unless you are
Born Again you will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven . So
you see its not about religion it is all about Our Savior Jesus .
Jesus also give us great warnings about false teachings .
Remember its not about the good that you do in this fallen
world in which will be destroyed in the end . Its about Gods
Glory and His Kingdom that is for you and me and all who
come in the Name of Jesus by His Blood . Nobody elses .
Please in your haste dont become selfrightous , we all are
sinners but only a few know and truly Love Jesus . As He
told us the harvast is big and so few workers to tend to it .
Dont worry about whats in the heart of other so much as to what is in your Heart . Remember what is really in ones heart
will come out of his mouth . Be careful not to sound like them
who are of this world , but become one of the world to come.
Go now and walk in the Spirit of Our Lord..........

Christians are called such, because they follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ, himself, said that he is the only way. Christians, themselves, have not made this claim apart from his own words.
Therefore, it cannot be selfishness or arrogance on my part, to adhere to Jesus' teachings.
Jesus was sent to save humanity from hell, not to send people to hell. The fact of the matter is that humanity was already doomed to spend an eternity there because of our inherent state of.. and tendency to sin.
Our Bible states that it is not God's will for anyone to perish in hell. That is why he sent Jesus, and that is why a Christian follows him.
Jesus is the rope by which we can be lifted from the pit. We are not forced to grab that rope, but if we wish to be lifted up, wouldn't it behoove us to do so?

No matter how hard we try, on our own NONE of us will get to Heaven. There is a gap. We can try to reach God, but because of our sin (things that turn us from Him), that gap can never be filled in.
We, as man, had different concepts of who God was. On their own efforts, they tried to visualize God, and created religion based on gods they could see -- idols.
So, God sent His Son to bridge that gap. He sent Jesus Christ to walk among us, eat with us, teach us, heal us, comfort us. I mean, all these questions, all these mysteries we have, are answered by Jesus Christ.
Therefore, without communion with Christ, that gap remains. With communion with Christ, that gap is bridged, and we learn who God is, and we have a one-on-one relationship with Him.
But, you see, Jesus Christ came for EVERYONE. He didn't single out a certain group. He came for everyone.
Some say, "Well, God is partial to the Jews." God chose the Jews to be the center ground for spreading the news of Him. His intention from the beginning of time was for the world to unite together in communion with Him. He just started with the Jewish nation.
But, He told Abraham "you will be the father of many nations." The Jewish nation is one nation. Who are the other nations? US!

Just as everyone else said about Jesus being the way the truth and the light, let it also be known that those who have never heard of christ, never heard of his teachings are just as little children. They will all be accepted into heaven.

We DON"T believe that only Christians go to Heaven. Stop listening to the wackos on the right. They are just blowhards and loud. They do NOT speak for all Christians.
Try unity school of Christianity for a breath of fresh air.
