Hi,
Im assuming that this meat is raw? Also you say you "refroze" it...which implies it was frozen before. If it was raw and you thawed then refroze it without cokking it fully all the way through then no I would not eat it. It is never a good idea to refreeze anything unless it has been well cooked through first...eg you could take out frozen meat, make a bolognaise sauce and freeze that and use it safely as it has been well cooked through.
I dont think it is worth the risk with your hamburger meat.
If however it was not prefrozen and was fresh from the shop and you kept it 4 days and then froze then it should be fine.
when you thaw it smell it. If its bad you would soon know! If its ok then and you fully cook it it will be fine to eat or again freeze cooked...
Good luck!

you should throw it away.
i don't know why you thawed it and refroze it. anyway, this is not safe. for the future don't thaw any meat unless you are going to use it in 24-48 hours. just a rule of thumb. ;)

Sorry but you can get just as sick from eating bad beef as you can bad chicken. Sour smelling meat should go straight to the trash can. You are likely to end up with a very bad upset stomach and cramping. Don't risk it. The date on the meat is approximate so you can't always go back that. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news....I hate wasting good meat too!

You should never refreeze meat. Did you buy it frozen let it thaw and then refreeze? If so I would throw it out. If you froze it last night for the first time its o.k. to thaw and cook. If there is an odor don't eat it. It shouldn't smell.

Smell it. If it smells okay, it should be good. Hamburger can last in the fridge for 4 days usually with no problem ( as long as it wasnt the last day to sell when you bought it). Hamburger also changes color when it starts to go, so as long as it smells good and isnt turning a brownish color... youre good. Just cook it throughly! Enjoy!

Look to see whether the meat producer has listed a website or customer service telephone number on the package. Try to contact them directly for guidance. They will be your best source of information and will know the correct questions to ask to give you the proper answer.

Since you refroze it, I would not eat it. Probably would be ok for your dog (if you have one). Smell it as it is cooking.
