Someone would paint a picture of a gun and figure out how to use it against somebody else. Unfortunate but, in this crazy, bloodthirsty world, probably true.

If we only had paintbrushes, someone would come along and reinvent the paintball gun; then someone else would get the bright idea of using something with more impact than paint balls...voila! Guns again! So, might as well start off with the guns and use paintbrushes to distract and/or calm those who would otherwise misuse the guns.

Paintbrushes...
Maybe we should all have a paintbrush day every year like those Easter Day thing once a year where kids can paint eggs but on paintbrush day, its a day they paint anything they wish. Its like the Indian celebration Holi with paintbrush... real colourful!

J.P. is correct and is the sole reason for the right to bear arms. However, this world would be alot less detestable if everyone had a non-destructive creative outlet.
Non-destructive unless you are into making things like on that show "robot wars"

Paintbrushes are more important but I will protect them with my guns. After I drive my Chevy to the Levy and slap my wife.

Paintbrushes, of course.
And they'll be a new saying:
"Paintbrushes don't make paintings. People do!"

I used to go around randomly painting things, like my dog, the inside of my oven, that homeless guy that lives in next to my dumpster...

One of the 'geniuses' elected to our local Government went on an anti-graffiti cleaning spree, complete with TV coverage, recently.
One small problem - he 'erased' a piece of public art, thinking it was vandalism.
Paintbrushes or guns?
I'd hate to think to a publicly spirited individual like him would've done with a gun...

Funny. Yes removing guns would remove an easy way to kill people and would make massacres more difficult, but it would not eliminate people being killed nor would it stop this sort of thing from happening.

I haven't an artistic bone in my body unfortunately. I would probably make such a complete mess of it that people would stab me with their paintbrushes.
