have a look at the question i posed a day or so ago"bible bashers"the answers i got were intelligently put and informative.I usually get a load of hate mail from those who believe but i posted my question at 8 in the morning to avoid the lay in bed crap spouters..but to answer your question(by the way i do not believe i am just interested in philosophy and religeon) i think its something to do with questioning thier beliefs,if they question it it may be construde to doubting .However some wish to question thier faith everyday to find ways to bolster thier beliefs. I believe that to question something constantly we find the true answeres, think about how science constantly adjusts it theorums to take into account of new evidence.what we believe today isn`t wrong just because we don`t fully understand.it just means we are half way to fully understanding. The story of the resurection as I am sure you know is fundemental in the belief that christ was the son of god and not just a prophit or mortal man.Weather you believe or not is a personal thing only you can answer.I have come to my conclusions over about 30 years of study/question and inward searching that religeon is a man made thing and so is god .If the fanatics can`t answer you without spouting off then maybe they need to re-read some of the passages in the bible and remember that thier god will forgive all.Something they seam to be unable to do.
Being interested in a subject does not automatically make you appear on the fence in respect to your beliefs ,it does however mean that you are interested enough to ask why.and WHY is an eternal question we shall never answer.I can only suggest that at the point off death shall we really know. And if there is a heaven then hey ho heaven sounds great.I just don`t think it exists

Don't even try this bs; you know full well that if someone asks a sincere question on this forum, that people do their very best to answer the question in a very considerate
way; you also know full well that many of the "questions" asked are obviously not being asked because someone sincerely wants the information, but because they are mocking and insulting God and His children.
This very question you are asking here is
nothing more than trying to point fingers at decent people of faith and to call them "haters". If someone asks a question that is pure mockery they deserve whatever answer they get. Don't like it? tough.
Christians are not your personal doormat.
Christians are not required by God to be that, and we will not be that.
You make me think of the fact that Christ is returning with a big iron rod. Know what thats for? Correction. And boy, does this world ever need some correcting. I assure you that people are going to get straightened out with it; there will be a 1000 year period of teaching and strict disipline, both of which are badly needed. At that time, you can sit and give all your gripes to Christ and see what He thinks about them.

Hbr 4:12 For the word of Yahweh [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Because the truth hurts.........

Psa 119:142 Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your LAW IS THE TRUTH!!!

See what I mean?

So what will the Truth do for you?

Jhn 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Keeping the Laws of Yahweh will set you free from the deceptions of Satan and the curses that comes from (as written in the book of the Laws) from breaking the Laws which is scriptually called sin......

I Yahchanan 3:4—
Whoever commits sin, transgresses also the Law; for sin is the transgression of the Law.

Do you want to know who the liars are?

I Yahchanan 2:4—
He who says: I know Him, but does not keep His Law, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

I Yahchanan 3:7-8—

7 Little children, let no man deceive you; he who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.
8 He who commits sin is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of Yahweh was manifested; that He might destroy the works of the devil.

I Yahchanan 3:10 In this the children of Yahweh and the children of the devil are manifest. Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of Yahweh, and he does not love his neighbor!

Righteousness you say?.......

Deu 6:25 And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these Laws before Yahweh our Father, as he hath commanded us.

Do christianity teach true righteousness? No. So the truth does offend them.

Rom 10:3 For they being ignorant ofYahweh's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of Yahweh.

Learn true righteousness

The resurrection episode is woven into the fabric of Christian belief. You accept it by faith. Also it is one of the axils of the wheels on which the whole machine runs. You should not just play with it.....the tone of the question and then the meaning of the question should be respectful and be genuine to gain knowledge......not for trivial play. Will you play with knives or drugs that are deadly in a frivolous manner? And when it does cut you or hurts you so that you go out of your mind or something.....would you still laugh and be light hearted about it. So also is the question of faith, resurrection, religion, etc.

Some questions (most of the ones I read around here), criticising christian beliefs are pretty insulting.

And some people just take it personaly so we all have to be very careful not to insult people if that is not our intention. For example the term "ressurection story" can be insulting to some people (it dosen't bother me, but it might bother someone that you call something he truily believes and considers the most important thing that ever happened a "story").

So I believe to be respectful to avoid therms such: "That Mohammed guy" and similars...

Is this taking the mickey out of the Christian story because you like watching violent movies and can't follow the plotline of the Jesus account in the context, or do you have an informative analysis to add? I'm trying to figure it out, but meaningless personal comments tell me nothing, except that it's a stupid world I live in.

Because, they must defend the faith. + they don't have the answers most of the time either. They take everything that is stuffed down their thoat and accept it without question. They just assume that everyone else should as well. Lest not forget that they have the almighty, without fail answer book, which proves everything they say. As long as you believe it in the first place. It's not hard finding prove in something that you already believe is prove.

Perhaps Christians who take offence at such a question or feel that it's an attack on their beliefs don't know what to answer because they haven't bothered to get the answer for themselves.

The Bible very clearly states "be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you."
1PE.3:15

If their faith is weak and they don't know the answer they haven't been studying the Bible "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
2TI.2:15

I've noticed that people in this forum are so emotionally conditioned by frequent attacks that they begin to lose their ability to discern between an honest, innocent question and one that is solely asked to convey hatred or spite. I tend to answer even the obviously hateful questions politely and honestly just in case the answer makes an impact. I'm sorry that you've apparently been the victim of people's indiscriminately defending their beliefs in answers to questions that were asked in an honest, innocent manner. I'll do my share to avoid this problem.

Rabid questions tend to get rabid answers. I am sure that a straightforward question will get an appropriate answer.
