The Dead Are Unconscious.

The condition of the dead is made clear at Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10, where we read: “The dead know nothing . . . There is no pursuit, no plan, no knowledge or intelligence, within the grave.” (Moffatt) Death, therefore, is a state of nonexistence. The psalmist wrote that when a person dies, “he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts do perish.”—Psalm 146:4.So the dead are unconscious, inactive. When pronouncing sentence upon Adam, God stated: “Dust you are and to dust you will return.” (Genesis 3:19) Before God formed him from the dust of the ground and gave him life, Adam did not exist. When he died, Adam returned to that state.
There is hope for those who have died the bible promises. Almighty God has not only the power but also the desire to resurrect persons whom he chooses. Jesus Christ himself said: “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.”—John 5:28, 29

You can quote the bible from cover to cover (in all of its contradictions), and you can have faith that it is god's divine or divinely inspired word, and you can believe that heaven awaits you after your mundane life ends or that hell is the destination of infidels, or even that the dead are "unconscious" (which is incorrect; the dead are, in fact, dead, whereas unconsciousness is a living state), but you can not KNOW. No one returns from death in physical form (there are those who are skeptical of Jesus's alleged resurrection) to apprise us of the truth regarding an afterlife or lack thereof. There is simply absolutely no possible method for certainty as to the claims of religions. If your faith consoles you, then you are welcome to believe whatever you wish, but you just can not prove that you are correct in your deductions...

That's one ancient book's vision of death. Another is that you will find yourself standing in a great stone hall, the Hall of Justice, before a tribunal of all the assembled gods. Hopefully you learned the Declaration of Innocence, for you will need to recite it before Osiris, assuring him that you have lived a good and decent life. Then you will have to deny having committed other transgressions before each of the gods. Jackal-headed Anubis will then step forward, rip your heart from your body, and toss it upon a pair of scales, balancing it against the white feather of Maat (Truth). If you are found to have been truthful, Osiris will lead you to the realm of the blessed. If not...well, you'll see.

Get right with the gods of ancient Egypt before it's too late.

You are just a tad incorrect. If you truly want to know about the afterlife, talk to a Buddhist or read near death experience and channeled books from the other side.

You say you will tell me.
Then you quote from a book, someone else's words.
Why do you deceive me?
Is this what your religion is about?
Untruth?
