I have been diagnosed with an aneurysm on the External Iliac Artery on the right side . It is spherical with a diameter of 4 cm . It is so uncommon that there is very few information online , also I did not till now come across anyone who had this problem at my age , most of them are above 50 yrs old . So what do you think ? Should I be writing my will ?

Be at least thankful that they found it. Most people don't even know they have one. Find a highly trained surgeon at a large medical center for a consult. Regarding the will, we should all have one at any age b/c you never know.

Sometimes these things happen.

Get it fixed. It's an easy job for a vascular surgeon, and can probably be done endovascularly (from the inside of the artery).

It doesn't hurt to have a will. You could get hit by a bus, with or without an aneurysm.

no-i do not think that you should start to write your will. there are some great advances in medicine and the doctors will be able to help you. it is not a common condition, but that does not mean that you are hopless. i wish that i could put you in touch with someone with the same thing but i cant. i will tell you though to have faith and know that we have really good health care in america for the most part. good luck and i hope that all goes well for you. take care-

Have it repaired, there are a lot of fine surgeons out there. Talk with the Doctor that give you this diagnosis and ask him what you can do!

It's not fatal, provided it's caught early enough. Talk to your doctor about your treatment options. And don't worry, you'll be fine.

Have you not seen your GP? Aneurysm is a blood clot... the doctors may give you something to thin it out...check with your GP to see what can be done...don't be too alarmed though.. it will get sorted...
