adobe reader is free software used to view pdf files. it doesn't harm your computer.

Install the Adobe Reader (Adobe Acrobat)...it's a good thing.
it's a handy tool to have whenever you search for something and the result is in PDF (.pdf) form.
PDF means Portable Document Format.

No harm. the latest is version 8 though. It is simply a viewer for .pdf docs. You can't edit, only read. If you want to be able to edit the PDF, you would need Adobe Acrobat.

It is useful for reading pdf files. 7.0 loads faster than the older versions.
