Why not find out who Jesus really was and is?

he was more than a carpenter's son, his father was more than a poor carpenter.

He was born into the oldest bloodline of priests and kings of humanity, that still exist today in their thousands.

He was more than just the Messiah, he was the true heir of Pharoah through several bloodlines in his veins.

Maybe, if you discover who Jesus was, this might help you.

For how can you pray to someone you have no idea who they are, except from the fairy stories told to you by ignorant church leaders?

Paul wrote in 2Cor.12:9 That he had prayed to the Lord 3 times, God said to Paul this His grace was sufficient for Paul and that His strength was made perfect in Paul's weakness. Prayer is a dialog, when I worked in a coin shop years ago, customers would send a "want" list, specifying exactly what they wanted. They didn't want to wright back and forth, I was there to give them what they desired. Some preachers typify God in this fashion picking and choosing certain verses from the Bible and ignoring those that don't match up with their doctrine. There are things that enter into our lives that are hard to deal with, a disabled child can make a person ask a lot of questions, for some there is no easy answer. We live in a world that is imperfect, some day God will change this, His thoughts are not our thoughts, His ways are higher than our ways. Some times when we pray we need to ask for His strength and comfort, and we need to listen and to make prayer a two way street. May God bless you.

Do you still go to church?

I've had that problem. I stopped feeling spiritual, prayer didn't work, I had no peace. Because I no longer cared, I stopped attending mass.

What helped me reconnect was a change of venue. I'm guessing, since you said confession, you're Catholic. Try going to a Cathedral or Bascillica or even a monestary for a day. This always helped me reconnect with God, seeing something holy outside of my church.

Think of it as recharging your battery. If you need to talk, email me.

Your awareness of reality if finally kicking in. As a child you were allowed to dream that Jesus would look out for you no matter what, now you are just maturing. Let go of the prayer, and start working at the life you have without Jesus.

Amir, that particular prayer is one of the greats,it shows our humble dependence on Christ and confidence in His loving mercy.
But you are confusing feelings that by their very nature change from moment to moment and day by day, feelings although good are not the sign of of our relationship with God alone, nor are they always good for our spiritual growth, remember Christ` word`s,Blessed are they that don`t see and yet believe? well this goes for the feelgood factor too,if we base our notions of faith on feelings then how unstable and weak is that faith?
God does not always need to reassure the mature Christian as we should not be like babies needing milk all the time,Peter and Paul walked on in faith even thru great adversity and would have failed if they depended on feelings alone.
The Lord is always with you even when you feel nothing, there are times I am sure that He say`s to Himself,`I trust that one so much that I can leave him/her to get on with it while I look to another of my weak and sick children.

I would try to find the closest Baptist church and talk to the pastor there. It is hard to say what the problem is. Attending a church is a way to help you feel connected and worthwhile.

Amir,

Looking at your other questions, they seem to be centered on money, and making money. Perhaps this is distracting you. Jesus said God is anxious to reveal himself to those who seek him, but you may need to give it more attention than a hobby.

After His resurrection, Jesus appeared to followers...not skeptics.

reconnect with God by finding a church you like, actually enjoy.

EDIT -- Don't listen to the haters and ignorant people here trying to sell you a way of life that will see them straight to Hell one day. You have good training and values. You just need to replenish and reconnect, as I said.
