Yes it is, As an ex-amateur I knocked many opponents out, I always had this punch from the first day I sparred, I wasnt taught how to throw a punch properly, it came naturally, power has to be within and natural, You can teach people to develop punching techniques etc but the power is genetic or like someone being double jointed,

Some people are born with power and there are those who don,t have it and will never get it .You can teach a person how to get the most out of there punch by using better machanics but that is all you can do . Someone above me said tha Emanual Stewart made Thomas Hearns a puncher if that were true every fighter Stewart had after Hearns would be a great puncher we know thats not true so punchers are born not made.

That's a tricky question. A fighter can be taught to deliver a punch properly that would be devastating to an opponent but he would also need sufficient power to do so. Emanuel Steward takes credit for developing Thomas Hearns into a k.o. artist. I hope that answers your question.

Power is a emotional state. Is something that can't be taught. The will of the person is what makes them. You can want to train and condition someone all you want but it's their will that makes them move.

i have studied various martial arts for 21 years now and i believe that you can improve the power of someones punch. its all about technique and self belief. i have taught self defence in the past and seen a huge improvement in peoples punching power.
