do you step in with a hook then step out for a straight punch while throwing combinations?

If leading with your hook step in. But if you go 3,2,3,2 then you would step in 3, pivot foot rotate shoulder forward 2, then pivot foot bring arm up rotate shoulder 3, and the same step for the first 2 to finish. It is about form not speed.
