How long ago did you "lose" this controlled medication? If it was just yesterday your doctor may write you a new script. If you really suspect they were stolen filing a police report will go a long way in convincing your doctor to write you a new prescription. But don't screw around and file a false report...
I had 120 Percocet stolen when my apartment was broken in...along with a lot of other stuff. I immediately filed an report and called my doctor. I told him I would bring in a copy of the report. He said fine...when you have the time but he immediately wrote me a new Rx for another 120 Percocets and had his nurse deliver it to my apartment. My doctor and I had a good long term relationship and trusted me.I gave a copy of the police report but said the doctor didn't need it.
I hope you have a good relationship with your doctor...it will help.

There is no way you can get your pills refilled this soon. The pharmacy will tell you this.
The idea to call the police was a great one.If you are in lots of pain and need your Vicodin then call the police and have them file a report for you.
I am on Morphine 30 mg and I get 200 of them at a time . I guard them with my life.
These pills can sell for as high as $10.00 a piece. At least I was offered that much at one time.
That is why it is so hard at times for people that are in real pain to get pain medication from their doctors.
If your doctor knows you very well he might go ahead and give you more. He has records he has to keep as well.
Good Luck

It really depends on the total situation.
How long have you had the prescription and how much is left?
Is this the first time you've ever lost a prescription?
Do you have teenage family members?
Do you have family members who have addiction problems?
Actually, your claim sounds bogus to ME, personally.
You should know if something that dangerous is lost or if it is stolen.
If you have addicts or teenagers in the house, Vicodan should be locked up!
We don't know if your doctor will issue a new prescription. You have to give him ALL the details and ask HIM, not us!

I get 100 Oxy IR and 60 Oxycontin a month. They were stolen out of my purse along with my driver's liscense, social security card and insurance card. I depend on these pills in order to live my life and function. In order for the doctor to refill my prescription, I had to file a report with the police, write down my account of what happened, and bring both along with a card from the police officer with the case number on it to my doctor. That's usually the ONLY way they'll even consider replacing the scrip, and then usually only once. It does happen, and I don't think you're trying to feed us a line here, but you've really got to keep better track of your meds if they're that important-- it only took once for me to learn; I got a lock box for mine, which is hidden by husband somehwere in our house, and he has the only key and gives me my meds when I need them. That not only keeps them from getting stolen, it keeps me from getting addicted by taking more than I need.

In my experience doctor will not write a new script because they know people give them away or sell them, or party with them. You may have to just suffer. I guess it all depends on the doctor, you could give it a try. The story sounds fishy to me I'm sure the doctor will think the same. Sorry

You don't stand to much of a chance to get a refill if you lost them. But, you could call the doctor and tell him/her that they make you feel bad (don't agree with your system) and ask for something different - they may give you something like darvocet.

you would have to call your dr. and explain the situation to him, and hopefully you have a good relationship with him,(where he trusts you) so he doesn't think you used them all and just want to get high so to speak. if it's all legit. he should call in a new script. for you. good luck! hope you feel better!
