Emma Goldman worked as an activist for many causes -- promoting anarchism and opposing statism and capitalism; fighting for free speech and freedom of the press; for reproductive freedom; for union organizing; against war and conscription (the draft); opposing statists in the Russian Revolution and Spanish Civil War; etc. etc. etc. All of these, to the extent that they suceeded, did so by gaining popular support that stimulated mass action.

So, I would have to say that Goldman's greatest achievement is her writing, which continues to foment support for the causes she supported.
