Hmmm after the day I have had I would say 0. I have 3 and pregnant with the 4th!!

But seriously I always wanted at least 3 and a year and a half after I had my third, I was craving another baby. I got my wish and my baby will be born in November. Hoping it is a girl and I have 2 older sons and a little girl. That would be perfect!

I already have my ideal number...3. All girls, would have been nice to have a boy for a change, but I'm happy now I have 3 girls. I didn't know before I started how many would be my ideal, but I felt after number 3 our family was complete.

years ago the average was 2.5 kids per family...replacing the parents and thensome. I guess the .5 try was to make sure you had at least one male to carry the family name, and after the .5 you gave up.

I think it's down to 1 these days but the way the world is growing (by heaps and bounds) I think everyone has made up for us.

Probably silly for me to answer this one as I have 7. Ideally the perfect amount would be 2 just to replace you and your spouse. This maintains zero population growth.

You should have one boy and one adapted girl. An orphanage girl so that you can deliver something good as a human being.

I have no children. I have been married for 10 years, and have 2 dogs a westie chelsea and a springer spaniel cadence-these are my children. But, I wish I had a daughter! If I had a girl I would name her Caris Ann, as my mom's name is Carol and my Dad's name is Dennis it would be a mix of their names, and my mom's mid. name is Ann.

I'm with you! I feel the EXACT same way!

It probably has something to do with the fact that this is my current family structure and what I am used to.

I have an older brother.

i agree with you,to have one boy and one girl, give them much love, live in a good world you make, give them all what they need, have a good education and be in good health, you can look after them without any worry.....but if you have many children you can't give them the best,
