Obviously, there's irony in the sentiment that it 'only takes one tree to make a thousand matches, only takes one match to burn a thousand trees'...but clearly the song also seems to be about some kind of small-town gossip causing somebody's downfall...so how would you relate the song's meaning to the 'trees' analogy?
