I am sure GM Yzerman will ask him to play tomorrow. Final team will be announced next week, pretty close to the start of the tournament. This is a different style than last year when I am seem to recall they announced the team earlier.

LOL! I will hold off a bit on chosing best answer. Seems some Pens fans are thinking with their hearts and not their heads right now. Pens have about 30 minutes of life left, maybe after that I'll get better responses about their best player playing for Team Canada.

There is no doubt he will do well. He is so competitive and proud to just give up.
Sure he would love to have remained in the playoff hunt however, they get past it and move on quickly.
He is an elite player and when elite players pull the Canadian Sweater over their heads they dominate. Going over for the WC is the best thing for him and others as they are eliminated.
He has something to prove and his not will to wait until next season to do it.

I think he will do good, Ottawa has just shut him down and he's frustrated, he's gonna take that out on whatever team he plays against in the WC

If he makes the team, he will be just as good as he is now. He's a great player. I don't like him because he's a Flyer killer, but I can admit his talent.
