Are all those who wish to ban firearms proud to walk in the footsteps of the father of the modern gun control movement, Adolph Hitler? Almost every reason put forward by the anti-2nd amendment movement echo the sentiments of Adolph Hitler when he passed his gun control measures prior to WW2. In fact The Brady organization could almost have Adolph write their speeches.

The anti gun crowd always amuses me. Like most of the touchy feely feelgood crap floating around out there. The problem with feelgood solutions is that they never have the desired effect and always go to far in their actions. Millions of reasonable responsible gun owners out there never have any kind of firearm related incident, but the anit gun crowd always ignores the successes in favor of the few failures that occur. Tragedies like the one at VA Tech occur, but do these people really believe that banning guns will stop senseless killing? The answer is no. If someone is predisposed to kill for whatever reason, they will find a way. Banning guns would not aid the populace. The only benefits of such an action would be felt by the criminals among us.

Banning is not the point. Making a law to guide the use of fire arms. Every month each gun owner should go for mental checkup and get himself certified by the county sheriff or Police. The pain of going to police every month will reduce the possesion of firearms. Hope so but not sure.

The 2nd Ammendment is the most outdated, back in the day the founding fathers wern't thinking about AK-47's and machine guns. They had a muzzleload that took minutes to load and a cannon that took 2 people to operate. You know, back when Indians were fighting for their land and blacks were still slaves (literally).

In nz the police interview you,they do a mental health check,background check,,,it can take over 6 months to get a gun.
