If your mechanically inclined most alternators can be easily repaired especially if its a bosch. Always before deeming an alternator dead test the voltage regulator very prown to failures.

The cost to refurbish a starter motor or alternator can be quite expensive, mainly due to diagnostic time.

You can buy a referbished unit from any car accessory shop. Usually you have to return you old unit.

My aunt paid £180 for an alternator for her Ford Maverick - it did come with the diesel pump attached.

The ford dealer quoted £400+vat. It took me an hour of my time and she gave me £20 for my efforts.

Check with your local scrap yard or breaker, its the sort of thing they have on the shelf for a few quid. You have to be able to fit it yourself though or have a friend who is capable. Alternatively a small car repairer would probably fit it for you.

as an electrical engger i like this ?. u dont waste ur money by going to any company for servicing . u mail us what is the problem with yr alternator and motor along with its name palte details we can send u a concrete solution
