can someone please help me with the following maths questions?
A) simplify 3a² by 2a
would that be 6a ³? not quite sure..
B) Factorise, then evaluate..17 by 9 - 17 by 8
Can some1 pls show me how to do that? :D
C) If 2 to the power 100 is divided by 8, what will the remainder be?
im not sure how to do them....

B: (17*9)-(17*8) = 17(9-8) = 17*1 = 17
C: 2power100 / 8 = 2power100 / 2power3 = 2 power (100-3)= 2 power 97

3a² * 2a=6a^3
17 * 9 - 17 * 8
=17(9-8)
=17*1
=17
2^100=? mod 8
(2^3)^33=0
2^100=0*2=2

(3a^2)(2a) = 6a^3
17*9 - 17*8 = 17(9 - 8) = 17*1 = 17
(2^100)/8 = (2^100)/(2^3) = 2^(100 - 3) = 2^97

the answer to C is 0
8 = 2 to the power 3
so 2^100 / 2^3 = 2^97. It divides completely and there is no remainder.
