Yes. The question is what are the reasons. Some are easier to find out than others.

Not all things happen for a reason . Originally reason was never there . It was an order of Nature. When man started questioning the order , it came to be better known as ' Reason'. For a thing to happen , there can be no two absolute reasons . It has be a singular most reason and the day you cannot fathom the reason , it is left to Nature . Where in truth , it is always other way round

Nothing happens for a reason, at least for some pre-ordained reason ....Because life is random, there is no such thing as fate or pre-ordained plan, bad things happen to ALL people because of coincidence, Murphy's Law, and random acts of nature and people. When the tectonic plates crash into each other and cause human calamities, are they worried about who's good and bad? Don't make me laugh. To think that good people are protected or somehow immune to the laws of nature is not logical or rational. If you start believing in fate and pre-ordained plans, then you're reverted to superstitious CAVE MAN logic....don't do it. Just kidding, do and believe what you want.

No... quite the opposite in fact.
While there are cause and effect... to claim things happen for a reason implies some sort of intended goal or direction... neither of which apply to reality outside the living imagination.
Things happen simply as results of causality... with absolutely no intended purpose whatsoever.

Yup, of course everything happen for a reason.

The best way as example is your question. You must have your own reason to ask this question right?

That's up to you to decide. Sometimes, things just "happen." You didn't necessarily have a "hand" in it.
It's up to you to give "meaning" to the situation.

Other times, we make definite choices or actions; intent upon creating/causing a change.

But I don't try to give "meaning" to every little turn in life.

Standard scripted.

Yeah. That is what we do.

We postulate to find some reason for the chaotic nature of things.
Then, we find some mathematical formula that solidifies our questions.
