Thanks to all who've answered. First off, let me explain a few things:
1) I'm not planning on proposing to my boyfriend. I think it'd be more romantic if he did it.
2) Some women are into the whole "equal rights" thing, and I'm sure many women have proposed.
3) I'm asking this just to see what your opinion is on how a woman would propose.

or do u want him to propose to u?
if u want him to propose to u there r ways and means....
u could talk about the future
mention a friends wedding (go to one if poss)
you could ask him about kids
you could post a question on here about how to get a guy to propose!
if u really want to do it and there's no reason why not, then why don't u go wild and make it grand!
propose on a ferris wheel!
or a roller coaster
or in a hot tub
or on one knee in a restaurant!

I never heard of a women proposing to a man, if a women wanted to marry a man. I doubt she'd propose to him, shes likely to hint at him about it but not propose.
Women shouldn't propose!

Personally, I think that deep down most women want the man to pursue her.
I would not have accepted a marriage proposal from my wife if she had done it, however, because I knew her as my friend, I knew she would not do it anyway.
So, I do not know.

No need to get down on the knee, after inviting him home for dinner, tell him I dont mind marrying you ? See what he says, if he is a aggressive guy like me, he will take the hint and bring the topic up himself.

Well, if she really wants to pull it off...she'd make a big scene... and ... OF COURSE... be alone with him during the night hours.
She could always just stop him in the middle of a walk and ask too. THAT worked on ME.

what your doing shows that your a strong woman who don't wait for someone to give you what you want.I say go for it don't matter what anyone else say but what ever you do don't do the one knee things somethings are to be left to the man. have fun

Just ask! The hell with romance and formality, it makes NO SENSE WHATSOEVER. But if you are really into that, then yes, down on one knee, same as a guy.
