My friend and I were sitting on the couch just talking (no drugs or alcohol involved). I noticed a light in the corner of my eye that was green, it seemed to be stationary or barely moving, because I thought it was a plane and paid no attention to it.

Out of nowhere the green light shot Northeast at a speed so fast that it left a green streak in the sky, and then it dissapeared. It seemd to go a very long distance down Lake Michigan very quickly. This movement is what caught my eye. The girl who was visiting also noticed it the moment I did and said, "What in the hell was that?" She had the same description. If I were to try to determine the length of the green trail it left, I would guess over 100 miles in a split second.

Did anyone else see this???? I believe it was the first U.F.O. I've ever seen in my life - and I had company with me that saw the same thing. It would be amazing if someone else saw it as well. Please be honest people...

Thanks for any answers!!!

I live on the 18th floor off of Michigan Ave. in downtown Chicago. This might help for people in the area. Also people in Northwest Indiana, Southwest Michigan and Southeast Wisconsin should have been able to see this light as well.

Typically when things leave green streaks they are meteorites. It's possible, being you were so high up, that the meteorite was entering at a shallow angle and you saw it coming.

You can report this to the National UFO Reporting Center at http://www.nuforc.org and maybe someone else saw it too.

No, but I saw something a long time ago in South Dakota. It was Halloween night, (complete coincidence), in Pierre and I was walking home from the 7-11 and I saw a round light in the sky, to way big and way too low to be star or sattelite, and it was stationary. Very weird. I had to look at it the whole way home. That was very unsettling since it was very late and I had to walk past all these old warehouses. I dunno if there are aliens. I dont know what that was. But I hope there are aliens, otherwise it seems very cruel to put us in a vast universe full of zillions of planets....to be the only ones here. What for? To look at in a telescope? Seems more like rubbing it in that we were alone.

Welcome to the select few who can claim to have seen a UFO! I've seen two of them in my life, plus a close encounter of the third kind. I've been trying to find other people who've seen things like this, so if you have a MySpace profile, send me a request. myspace.com/ericzombie.
Also, check out www.nuforc.org, they take reports of UFOs all the time, and you may be able to find someone else who saw the same light.

Check out the below link, I saw this video on YouTube, you might find it interesting as it was filmed above Lake Erie.

It seems the person who submitted this video has posted it on YouTube, maybe he saw the same thing you saw that night. Blog him, doesn't hurt to ask.

It could truly be anything.

U.F.O.? I don't see why not. Spirit or entity? Sure, stranger things have happened. Optical illusion or effect? Could be, but only as much as the U.F.O. and the spirit.

Don't rule out anything. You don't have that knowledge.

Oh, and why does everything get blamed on BALL LIGHTNING? This was not ball lightning. I know what ball lightning is and this was not ball lightning.

I think the green color comes from atmospheric conditions. It's ball lightening.
