Lack of respect (cheating, lying, broken promises, criticism, humiliation)
Lack of honor (failure to pitch in to the relationship, failure to be supportive during crisis, failure to protect relationship and failure to protect/respect/support mate)
Lack of empathy (abuse, manipulation, selfishness)
there's probably more detailed onese but I think that covers the basics

How criticism is delivered is a major factor. If it is given as support in a positive way, it can enhance a relationship immeasurably. However, if one of you go after the other with a sledge hammer and a hack saw, it will result in irreparable damage.
Aside from the basic things that could lead a relationship south, there is one thing that neither person can do much about. Sometimes, couples begin to grow in different directions and less together than they used to be. They grow apart and their lives take different directions.

There are many things that "destroy" a relationship, but far more significant than "cheating" is just a lack of emotional maturity and compromise.
If a couple lacks the will or ability to address and discuss a problem, it won't just go away on it's own. It will "fester" until the issue just explodes eventually.
If you cannot forgive and forget and move on with your lives after a problem, that's also critical.

Criticism can be a good thing, but the three main things that destroy a relationship ship is the lack of love, communication and trust.

Excessive criticism is a symptom, not a disease, so I'd say criticism alone doesn't destroy relationships, just like a rash doesn't make people die. Whatever is prompting the criticism is probably damaging or undermining the relationship.

I think that criticism can poison a relationship. The things that destroy relationships are disrespect, lack of communication, the absence of trust and unwillingness to work for the relationship.

Cheating, lying, mistrust. I don't think criticism is a major fact. However I can't stand criticism from my partner even though I know he is right! Human behaviour is to get on the defensive when you are criticised.

It isn't a major factor but certainly is on the list. There is a right and wrong way to give cristicism, learn the difference.
