A once brilliant player, winner of a few Golden Gloves who blew himself up and turned into something ugly. My record right or wrong! Disregards ethics, others pay the price for him, corrupt, on drugs, lies his way out, out for himself and screw the team effort, money, money, money.

Well that's what I see. What do you see?

Barry Bonds is on target to breat Hank Aaron's home run record but Hank Aaron has said he doesn't plan to be on hand when he does it. So far, Hank is the only guy in sports who still seems to have integrity. Nobody else seems to care about Bonds and steroids - certainly not Bud Selig who sold out long ago.

Perhaps the bigger question is:

Make NO mistake about it!! Barry Bonds represents Barry the steroid Bonds, not America. Like Roger Clemens, he is all for himself and the hell with anyone else including the team. Most people are team players, but certainly Bonds is NOT. In fact, until he retires or the Giants dump him (unlikely), the Giants will never end the season with a division championship. He is an albatross!!

Chow!!

Barry Bonds is still a brilliant player.....
Never blew his career up, is still playing.....
Is not ugly because I believe he still has his Professional Screen Actors Guild membership card.....
Had a "brain cramp" when he forgot where the tainted vitamins containing the amphetamines were.....
Helps the team effort out with unselfish play.....
Never had a positive test result by MLB or independent labs for steroids.....
Has to endure childish remarks and people with diminished brain capacity that still claim he took steroids.....

I think Barry and intelligent people don't care if Hank Aaron shows up to watch the HR. It does not matter anyway because Hank would rather go fishing or golfing than watch a record that does not belong to him anymore..... Hank is an adult and does not need the masses to make decisions for him. The commissioner lets politics get in the way of a record breaking feat. It's his choice and he does not have to attend either. Let them do what they want! It does not have anything to do with integrity..... Please..... Get an education!

steriods or not bonds had 500 homers in less games then mays ruth and aaron... he was as you said a winner of golden gloves, multiple 20+ stolen base seasons and was an extremely proficiant hitter... like him or not he was hall of fame material before the steriods rumors and he will be a hall of famer long after even if it is proven he did take them... as for aaron be the only one left with integrity i would most likely agree this is a different age and steriods have been a part of all sports for decades... the american way is be all that you can be even if it means cheating... and thats the truth...

As the previous answerer said he was hall of fame before all the homers. No he doesn't represent the U.S. today. I think the U.S. is better than what has happened with Bonds. He definitely isn't good for baseball.

Steroids or not you can't deny 738 homeruns.
