"Had some nice plays behind him as is usually the case. Been a while since we've had one good for the game.
Congrats Buerhle "

Anibal Sanchez pitched one last September.

Great play from Joe Crede early. He never threw over 90 mph. But he attacked the inside part of the plate early, on both right and left handed hitters. It was - simply put - the kind of game that turns a season around for a team. Pitching wins games, and Buehrle was A+ last night!

I am a huge Cubs fan. Unfortunately, I have to give Buehrle props for a greatly pitched game. I mean, one walk away from a perfect game! He pitched to the minimum amount of batters, because Sosa got picked off of first after he was walked. Now I just wish someone on the Cubs can do that!

Great job by Mark Buehrle and it is the first no-hitter of the 2007 MLB season.

I hope its a sign of good things to come from him. He's been underappreciated for most of his career and its good to see him get some recognition. He may have been horrible in the second half last year, but he's got a histry of being a good starter and he's a lefty which is always an advantage. It's his walk year so if he can turn it around he'll make a ton in the off-season. Not Zito money, but more than Lilly got from the Cubs at least.

So happy for him. He got a lot of helps from his teammates as well. Too bad it's not a perfect game. Congrats to Buehrle.

I think its great.I remember him when he was in High school,he couldn't even break a pane of glass,so hes come a long, long way.
another point is he was cut from the varsity baseball team when he was a sophmore, what a idiot that coach was.
The reason i know all this is I'm from his hometown, and umpired him in high school

Good for him, right time of year, bats are still cold(along with weather). Hitters bat .305 against him(06), so lucky too.
