Working in BPO does not have bright future as it can only take you to management in BPO but wont let you anywhere else in other field or give you much option eg change of job.
Working in BPO can also cause various health problem due to lack of movement. BPO career should be choosen as transitional or short time while a person is doing further study or waiting to move on to another job. Spartan

Yes. You are correct. BPO work is good when you do not have anything else to do. One can get spoiled by this job. He will forget what he has studied and cannot go for any other job as the salary offered by the BPO is very attractive which he would not be getting in his own profession or field.
BPOs will vanish after some time if these foreigners find another cheaper country to operate from like Philipines, Indonesia etc.
