Why are you buying a new swim suit? A rash guard just pulls over your top. Just be careful not to pull your top off with the rash guard when you go to take it off.

In California real surfers don't wear anything under their wet suit. There's less to dry after surfing. Just change in a big towel or go in a bathroom.

If you are referring to a rash guard then a regular swim suit is fine.

Bathing suit.

Or if you're hard up, a bra.

Or if you're into being stared at, nothing.

Good luck!
