maybe he was betrayed or hurt too much by women... I saw the video he sent, and he was not mentally ill (he was actually smart but extremely depressed by his hatred) but troubled by something all his life, and he got tired of it... the thing that pushed him to that point was maybe still fresh in his mind... but I think he should have thought of another way to make himself heard instead of killing innocent people...

I'm willing to bet that Cho disliked himself the most. The whole female aspect probably triggered a sense of rejection he felt within himself, but lacked the awareness to see it clearly. The obvious action is to feel like this is how others must feel too.
For the comments about dipstick and can't get a girlfriend. Be careful not to allow your perceptions of reality become twisted to the point in which it becomes your reality.

Questions like this tend to use horrific tragedy to exploit people. How would you feel if yourself or one of your loved ones had to experience it, or had been killed? The man had a psychotic break. He was extremely disturbed and paranoid. He thought the entire world was against him. I do not have any background information on him but if I did it wouldn't really matter anyway. Anyone, ANYONE, can have a psychotic break. Why not spend your time doing something beneficial for the grieving instead of worrying about a psychotic man's rant?
This is no more a religious issue than it is a gender issue. Remember everyone insisting yesterday that he was Muslim? Today it's that he hated women. He hated everyone he perceived to be against him, which was pretty much the entire world in his mind.

A psychologist told me some men who are misogamists (women haters) are that way because they are in a society or community that puts large emphasis on being a great "manly" man, for lack of words. This would include having dominance or at least supremacy over women and if he feels that women are demeaning him he lashes out. It can also be because they are gay but are not able to face their own reality and women represent what they feel they "should be" but can't be.
But hey, my schooling is in geography and genealogy so what do I know?

Not just women that sick pup hated everyone, here you have a
very young boy taken from the only home he knew to a place where everything and everybody was so different. Now this kid
come from nowhere to now having money. His mind is now being torn apart, poor represents home, friends, easy way of life.He loses everything he once held dear and to make it
worse he loses his parents to work.To live the good life his parents work long and hard so he is now raising himself .He has no one to talk to about how he is feeling everything around him doesn't seem right. He sees greed and unhappiness. He starts to lose it and he stops talking to everyone. I'm trying to understand how his mind got so distorted .Please don't think for one second that I am taking up for that sick son of a bi+ch because I'm not.

He was a classic sociopath. One of the most telling indicators of a sociopathic personality is hatred and deprecation toward the opposite sex.

Yea that is probably why. They would never give him the time of day or maybe he never had the balls to go up and ask one out, he just expected them to come on to him and they didn't, who knows.
I don't have a TV so I don't get to watch all of what is going on, I read it on yahoo. I watched for the first time a couple of video's of him and of the family's talking. I watched one older brother talk about his younger sister dieing, when he started crying I started crying, it was so sad.

He was severely mentally ill, paranoid, and delusional. There is no rational reason why he hated women.
