How is ICICI Direct (Equity) brokerage calculated?

The agent said that the brokerage is 0.45%, but when I calculated it came around 1.25%

Are there any hidden taxes?

Apart from brokerage, STT and stamp duties are also collected by the brokers. This might be the reason for the difference in your calculations.

Another possibility may be you have entered the trade below minimum required quantity/value. In such a case icicidirect charges the minimum fixed brokerage.

Icicidirect sends contract notes to the clients. Please read carefully and then re-calculate.

Alternately, you can contact the agent / PR exec from icicidirect, and discuss with them. If there is really a difference, you can ask them to amend the rates.

At the Customer Service page, left most column, there is Fee Schedule. Refer to the schedule for authentic brokerage. STT and Service Tax is added separately to these brokerage slabs.

Hello,

There are hidden charges with this organization. Surprise debits. Take care. First finalize Cost of Transaction clearly with your broker. Also know about STT + Service Tax etc. otherwise you will wipe clean your capital un intentionally. Also since you give your PAN number, cost of accounting, filing return etc.

Taxes are there. Get clarification from agent / broker deptt.

it all depends on your investment and its about your relationship with the bank. if you are investing huge money then they will charge around:- For intraday- 5 paisa For delivery-50 paisa if your investment is not much then they will charge:- For intraday-7 paisa For delivery-75 paisa All the best !!!
