Try this site. It will give you basic terms so you'll at least understand what's being said at the water cooler. And, you might actually watch a few games. Who knows? You might enjoy the game. I started watching baseball with my dad when I was a little girl. I still love the sport.

find out what his favorite team is. watch a game . the next day go up to him just as normal, say like hey so and so had a good game just talk about the game. guys like when girls get interest in their things
