It is an unwritten rule in baseball to not talk to the pitcher if he is in the middle of pitching a no hitter. They believe it would be bad luck to do so and the team mates avoid the pitcher in the dugout. Sort of like a superstition

If you check it out, you will see that pitchers usually sit alone all the time, even when they are not throwing no hitters. The idea is for them to concentrate on the batters they will be facing in the next inning.

Chow!!

Because the pitcher is ON TOP of his game, he has a rythem and it's working. Talking to other players might break the type of contentration and focus that a pitcher needs in order attain such a rare and difficult feat.

It's not by choice. Teammates tend to move away from that pitcher, to allow him to concentrate on his game.

I don't know if there is a reason for it....but baseball players are some of the most superstisious people on earth so it may be something that's from baseball folklore...but it may just be to stay focused.

Mainly to stay focused, they dont want to take their mind of the game by chatting to the other guys. He want's to keep his swing and momentum by sitting by himself, and thinking about pitching.
