Making college campuses weapon free and calling them safe zones didn't work out to well didn't it....

You can blow up all the sunshine you want up everybody's butt until you're all hugging and singing kumbaya. The fact remains that there are some really messed up folks out there and the police can't be everywhere at every moment.

Outlaw guns and only the outlaws will have guns.

One armed professer could have saved all those students.

absolutely, VT being a 'gun free zone' obviously didn't stop the killer this time, same w/ columbine and every other school shooting in history. think about all the gun owners who were at VT, but actually left their guns home because they were law abiding citizens, if they were allowed to have their guns in their dorms, somebody could have killed this asshole before he got to number 32.

SW, your logic is laughable, unfortunately the situation isn't. ban guns??? you have to be kidding me. let me bring up another current event: the mayor of Nagasaki, Japan was just killed by a mobster, with a handgun. guess what, handguns are banned in Japan. wait a minute, handguns are banned, so he shouldn't have a handgun!! get real, criminals don't give a **** about laws, but all the VT students who left their guns at home do. guns aren't banned in America, but pot, cocaine, heroine etc is, but that doesn't stop criminals from getting their hands on it. banning guns will only keep people defenseless from criminals. also, it makes a society helpless from their government, its very hard to rise up against an oppressive government if all you can do is throw rocks at tanks. and that's exactly why Saddam Husein kept his citizens unarmed.

The brainwashed want to leave people in the defense of the congress, the congress wants to leave you defenseless from them. Those are the facts. The 2nd is about defending yourself from a tyrannical congress, period. ANYONE who goes after your weapons is seeking to either support or become a tyrannical government. Just look at Hitler and others, they took the weapons first. I believe that VT is responsible with its rules about weapons on campus, it is a violation of the 2nd amendment. The supreme court ruled that all amendments msust be supported and allowed on schools, anything to the contrary is a violation of the law. Congress has done two things here that make them culpable, the allowed aliens to have constitutional rights, and they will not let anyone search your medical records to see if you are being treated for mental defect prior to purchasing a weapon. I do not want any restrictions on the 2nd but might be inclined to have people verify mental fitness by examination of all medical records. This could not have been prevented. Laws do not prevent crime. Police do not prevent crime. Only an armed citizen could have prevented or at least mitigated this tragedy. And the school and the congress have prevented that from happening.

Unquestionably, gun control caused the number of people killed to be much higher than it would have been. No law could have prevented this nut from starting his rampage, but he could have been dispatched much sooner if someone else had been armed.

Unfortunately, this is another example of how gun control kills. The GUN FREE ZONE made it safe for the shooter. He was not in any danger from the law abiding students.

Gun control just makes victims of the law abiding.

guns are horrible no matter the cause. I think its the people around that noticed the signs and didnt listen. People will bring whatever they want on campuses. Until they make it like an airport these campuses have no real control

We are going have to start learning how to Group-jump these POS. If one person would have yelled "Get that MF'er!!" I bet he would have been pounced. People need leadership in times of crisis. In Fear's grip you become docile like sheep, unable to even think or react, your in a dream state. But one bold person, taking charge, would break it for almost everyone that hears it. If you see sh't like that going down remember these words and start barking out orders. That'll scare the sh't out of the cowardly POS and embolden everyone else. It'll break his god-like mode when your yelling " On the count of three, Get that MF'er!!" 1, 2222.....3

I still can't see this as a solution.

The thing that gets me, Is that people are
aware of these killers having mental problems
and nothings can be done until they do
something and harm someone.
That's the problem.
That needs to be corrected, because by then
It's too late.

No, ban guns and that kook wouldn't have had a gun. Where I live the public do not have guns and we do not have 14,000 gun related deaths per year as you do (not counting your soldiers in the wars you start). You NRA people can bull sh*t all you like about people killing people , not guns, but providing the means to commit murder easily means more murders are committed.
