If you mean the recent tragedy that unfolded at the Virginia University, the shooter's parents supposedly declined to comment on the story. I think that the best thing that we can do right now, in the light of all those mourning for victims, is merely not to judge his family -- they are victims, in a way, just like all his targets. Give them the benefit of the doubt until you learn otherwise -- sure, they may have been aware of their son's plans, but on the other hand, they may have been just as surprised as everyone else. Obviously, they may have had difficulties in raising their son as immigrants from Korea, but with all the insensitive media coverage right now, I think that the least we can do as the public is to give it a break until we get all the facts.

Parents refuse to believe despite whatever warning signs that their darling little baby would ever do such a thing, most of teh people in prison have parents who insist they are innocent. Hitler's mom probably loved him. You expect parents to be blind to teh truth, but his parents didn't run teh college, and weren't responsible for the safety of other students. It's true that somehow he got an idea the world was supposed to cater to his every whim at some point in his life, maybe his parents did spoil him, or do what his one play (at thesmokinggun.com) suggests. But the monster he turned into was being fed by someone else that only his computer or cellphone record will reveal, and the government, as in Columbine, will probably never release that. And he may have been mad at his parents, people who commit suicide usually do it to harm their families.
