Your husbands income definitely does not affect what your child's father must pay for support. Mmmm...congratulations.

A judge told me if I re marry, my ex cannot collect more child support based on my new spouses income.
It is not the law. You cannot expect your spouse to pay for your childrens support anywhere in the USA.
Ask an attorney.

An old friend of mine was paying child support to his ex for their only son. After a while he got merried again, and continued to pay. But later he lost his job, and was not able to pay, in this case it was the opposite, because then the government started to take money from his new wife's paychecks to pay for the money he owed. I would think it shoud matter because if you remerried legally, your new husbands income is part of yours too, because you support a home togehter, his kids or not, you still have expenses together, not yours and his.

No the new hubby's income has nothing to do with, your child support. My hubby's ex got laughed at by the Judge, when she said she wanted more money. And felt that now he was remarried his new wife should have to pay too. Child support towards their child, judge told her to get a clue. It's their child and not mine ,and i was now the new step mother and that was all.

It may vary by state, but my sister's husband pays child support to his ex and once he married my sister, her income was figured in as well. The child support was nearly doubled.

It is all up to the courts. Your ex (or you) can file with the courts asking for a review. It takes a long time and sometimes a lot of money for lawyers before anything gets done. Call your local self help center and ask what the laws are for your state.

It does not affect it at all. My parents got divorced when i was 3 months old and my mom got remarried when i was 2 and my father had to still pay the same amount as he did before she got married. It goes by his income not yours.

It is considered separate. However, the ex could go to court and contend that you don't need as much money now as you have help paying your bills.
