i do NOT want any more gun laws passed because of cho

i DO believe they should show unedited tape of him so we may make educated decisions on what went on in his mind.

I believe in personal freedom and personal responsibility, including your right to speak out, your right to an abortion, your right to practice religion without infringing on others rights to not have to hear it, i believe that an honest days work deserves an honest days pay, mandatory drug testing for people on government assistance programs, eliminate speed trap style revenue policing, traffic fines be used to improve infrastructure, not to pay for more cops and equipment, and free healthcare for all citizens.

what the heck party do i belong to? am i crazy?

some very good answers here, i spent the last 30 mins on the libertarian website (thanks for the link). Very interested in that and you guys may be right. As for the healthcare issue, i don't like to see someone who works hard to save for retirement lose everything with one bad illness, thats my main concern with that. Thanks for all the great answers!

... you have similar ideas to me... not exactly the same... but many similar...

I'm a little more liberal than you are... but I consider myself to be a socially liberal libertarian... if that even really exists...

my basic idea is the government stays out of everyone's business, unless someone asks them for help...

You are mostly conservative except for your abortion and health care stance.

The free health care bit is the oddest. No one is even proposing free health care. There is no such thing a free anything. The question is whether or not the government will run it or not. You will still be paying for it either by buying insurance, paying out of pocket or through taxes.

Do some more research about the health care plans being proposed. The republicans are proposing leaving the best health care system in the world alone and just try creative methods to get health care insurance coverage for all. The democrats want to impose a socialized medicine system like Canada and England. These systems are like having the department of motor vehicles run your health care. Long waits and minimum service.

i agree with you on most points. As for the health care issue, if we made health insurance mandatory like car insurance the premiums would go down and everyone could afford it. Once car insurance became mandatory the rates dropped. I mean unless you are a total screw up with a bad driving record or bad credit, car insurance is very affordable. The same would happen with health care premiums.

Okay, you're in charge! How the heck can we get you into office? Looks like there are two of us reasonable people out here, just need to find a few million more so we can get a person that possesses common sense into a position of power that can change things. Good post, you are not alone!

Except for the universal health care you're a Libertarian or a Constitutionalist. You need to look in to WHY health care is out of control. Our health care system isn't free market anymore. If you really want to see why universal health care is a BAD idea take a look at Canada, Ireland and England and you'll see people on waiting list for MONTHS to have heart surgery or cancer treatment. You'll see dirty hospitals, horrible doctors, awful treatment and other wonderful stuff. Look at Medicare as a great example of how government funded health care works. It doesn't it.

There are real solutions to health care but government funded health care isn't one of them.

Sounds like a Goldwater conservative to me.

I'm hanging out with the Libertarians, (toll roads suck) but I'm willing to join you. This State Capitalism (AKA Socialism) is sucking our blood.

You're like most Americans. You have a mix of opinions that don't fit neatly into one package (or party). An independent thinker - imagine that!

It's because of uneducated, bored jackasses like yourself, who glorifies tragedies such as this and glamorize these criminals' actions that keep these evil thoughts in other people's heads.
