I think he rolled his eyes bc he figured that Chris was doing it to make up for his not so good performance. Kind of like he did it to get people to vote for him bc he was the first one to mention it and people would think it was nice of him...

I think Simon rolled his eyes for the same reason I rolled mine. Chris was sucking up to America for votes plain and simple. And the comment about singing through the nose didn't help.

I think, after finding the link below, he rolled his eyes at Chris singing nasally. He did not even hear Chris mention VA Tech because he was busy complaining to Paula.

I believe Simon when he said he was unaware what Chris had just said about VA. Simon was too busy asking Paula why anyway would sing in a nasal tone on purpose.

He said it was because Chris was saying that "nasally was a form of singing" and while he was watching Chris speak, he couldn't hear because Paula was defending Chris and he rolled his eyes at what Paula was saying and it just looked that way. I believe him.

Looking at the video all over youtube it looks like he rolled his eyes because the singer was wanting some sympathy votes and to distract the judges criticisms of his singing.

They explained it on Idol tonight and showed the footage of why he rolled his eyes. He was still commenting on Richardson's comment about nasally singing

I saw that, too. He claims he didn't hear what Chris was saying. The judges and producers swear that the judges can't hear the contestants when they're talking to Seacrest.

i dont think he meant it badly i think he was annoyed that chris tried to use it as an excuse to get away from the criticism

B/c he is a d!ck!!It didn't have anything to do w/ the country he calls home,he doesn't give a crap!!Even tho if it wasn't for the American public he wouldn't be half the star he is today!!
