i have a friend, literally, who was stood up moments before a date was supposed to happen so he hooked up with me and another guy and told us the story. He thought she dumped him for another guy. So I decided we should test out his theory. I walked over to the floral counter and purchased a dozen roses, yellow because the girl was supposed to be sick. I filled out a card for him saying how sad he was to hear she was ill. I then had him drive us over to her house. We rang the door bell wanting to get a look too. Her mother answered the door and he handed her the flowers telling her how he hoped the girl was feeling better. The girl's sister was on the stairs shocked and in a hurry to run up stairs. the mother was holding back her amazement. She said she would make sure her daughter got the message. As the door closed behind us we statred to snicker as we could hear the mother yelling at the top of her lungs. It was spectacular and my friends can tell you I don't have dating nightmares I create them. My friend was pleased. Never mess with my friends. I do tend to help them get even.

It has been a long time since I have dated. I guess it has something to do with living in a remote location and changing jobs several times over the past few years. The opportunity just isn't here. I went on a blind date once, that was enough. If I ever go on a date again it is going to be with somebody from earth. In the meantime I am not going to worry about it.

I guess the one that sticks out in my mind is I met him at the theater, and there he was standing there in cowboy boots and shorts, plus a shirt he must have had for 20 years. It was so thin you could see right threw it. Wanted to crawl under the theater seat, but of course couldn't. Hope to never repeat anything like that ever again!
