breast feeding actually helps prevent many types of cancers specific to women. it is also very healthy for the baby and mom in many other ways.

Breastfeeding releases endorphins , which produce a pleasureable (but not sexual) feeling which promotes bonding; and releases oxytocin which contracts the uterus to get it back to prepregnancy shape, reduce bleeding. Breastfeeding women generally lose their pregnancy weight quicker than non-breastfeeding women.

Risk factors for ovarian cancer are: estrogen replacement therapy, genetics (carrier of particular gene), "A family history of breast or colon cancer is also associated with an increased risk of developing ovarian cancer; Childbearing. Women who have never had children are more likely to develop ovarian cancer than women who have had children. In fact, the more children a woman has had, the less likely she is to develop ovarian cancer.Fertility drugs. Drugs that cause a woman to ovulate may slightly increase a woman's chance of developing ovarian cancer. Researchers are studying this possible association.Talc.
