absolutley a great idea. the media needs to stop being so scared and pussyfoot around, thats why our people are so ill informed on issues in the first place.

NO.

this is complicated, but if i were the head i would not release them. I would not like to be the company responsible for opening a whole another can of worms. I think by now with or without the new images, concluded that this is one sick individual. Forget race, religion, gender, human. Yeah this man was human in form, but inside he was not, and he was completely out of his mind. in a way i feel sorry for him, cause he is in a lot of pain, he is in his own world and no one around him can understand him and know what he is thinking, cause no one thinks like this sick fk. and the f-ing media is giving this sick guy a face and a human look. And his human look is as a very very sick individual, so crazy, completely psychopathic, definitely Schizophrenic, wacko. and the media is giving this psycho his fame and delivering his messege and giving him exactly what he wants. .

The media is opening a whole can of worms and i hope nbc will take responsibility for a copycat who is trying to generate this type of media publicity. you reap what you sow nbc. I hope you can take you medicine. does nbc broadcast suicide bomber videos, isnt it pretty much the same material??

by the way this might of come out later slowly when it probably would not of had the same amount of attention, it was probably on the computer the police seized. it was already slowly coming out through classmates, roommates, teachers, writings, and police records. this just made it have a bigger audience.

Lets focus on the healing, and make the last image of this tragedy, and it is a tragedy, cause this was cause by an action that is not human. let make the lastly image of virginia tech and its students and the healing. That the image the media should be focusing on but probably wont.

Yes, to make this self centered generation be interrupted from their favorite topic, "their own fulfillment" It's sad that even such a horrific occurrence serves only to irritate this self indulgent generation. Read the questions on here, they want to know why they should be "bothered", "disturbed" from their euphoric search for personal fulfillment by being saddened by such harsh things, they think they have heard enough now! So, yes I think the media should have aired all of Cho's rantings! Maybe, just maybe it would wake these primadonas up! Maybe then they will care that it could be them or their neighbors next!

Absolutely. Not only were they right to do it. They had an obligation to do it. For all of those who wet their diapers because of it, they warned you before hand that it was graphic. I do not think things should be censored because a few people are puritanical and niave. The public has a right to know and I for one wanted any insights into this horrendous crime that I could get. People should listen carfully to what Cho said and try and understand his psyche and perhaps be able to recognize it in someone else before the fact instead of after. That is my two cents. Get your heads out of the sand.

No. There is nothing to be gained by showing any of the video.

The news casts should spend the time talking about the good people who lost their lives because of this psychopath. And also what people could do if they know someone who they feel is capable or talking about doing something like this.

For all the lives lost.......something good should come from this. Giving the killer air time is NOT it.

This is the age of instant information and the public can either view it or choose not to ---under no circumstance should we enable the media, the goverment anyone to censor information for that would lead to them being able to put out to us only what they wanted-this is free speech under the Bill of Rights/Constitution and too important, precious to every citizen, free men to ever put it at risk.

NO! Not at all. Do those images remind you of anywhere else in the world? We are fighting the terror war and that is all that those vids were. Even if he was just a rank wannabe--still promotes the same idiotic ideals. Is it any wonder no one trusts the news-when they glorify these freaks???

No way. Totally inappropriate and definitely not on the main page (ie Yahoo). The images are too disturbing and giving him this press is what he wanted. It's way too insensitive to the victims and their families. He was a delusional sociopath. Start the healing.

the videos yes, but the picture were way to graphic. A guy who just shot 33 people pictured pointing a barrel of a gun towards a camera?! The parents of the murder victims are going to see it.....would YOU want to also see the last thing your child ever sees before they're killed.

I actually do not think they should have bc they are giving him what he wanted... recognition. This whole thing is happening just as he planned it, and having the tape aired is something he wanted just as much, if not more, then the actual killings
