As so many are now claiming, if anti-depressants are linked as a cause of most homicides and suicides... then does that mean all the Islamic human bomb people are taking prozac?

I am not convinced that it is the drug's fault, but the person was obviously a mess in the first place to be taking any drugs.

Or are they making a bad situation worse instead of better?

Convince me it's the drug and not the person that is the killing machine.

Hmmm ... how can I explain this..
Think of mentally unstable people as being like a new bottle of soda sitting out in the sun.. adding medications has a way of bringing them in the shade and shaking them up.. most of the time they will eventually settle down and flatten out.. But sometimes they blow up.
So the debate is.. what makes them blow up.. leaving them sitting in the sun? Or shaking them up?
Typically, the affliction is what is causes the violence.. but adding medication tinkers with brain chemistry that is already out of whack.
This is why there is a warning label on all the medications out there for mood disorders... soda doesn't flatten until you shake it enough... but if they were born a bottle of water, they wouldn't have a chance of blowing up at all.
The person is fine.. the drugs are meant to help.. it is the illness that is the killer.

They shouldn't even give out certain anti drugs if that was the case.

All I know is when I was on one kind, it created my impulsive actions to commit suicide @ one moment. I tried to overdose on them then there was this incident when I got in an arguement & I looked @ my fat thighs at the time (It made me gain 40lbs w/in a yr) and started cutting inside ....REEEALLY hard w/ anything that was sharp enough. I never did anything like that since, but it was a crazy moment.

i think of it is many times crap. i think that the human beings who do comit suicide whilst on those meds were questioning approximately suicide earlier beginning the drugs whether everyone else grow to take heed to to it or no longer. If i grow to be having suicidal recommendations i actually do no longer think of i might share them... might you??? that's obtainable that the meds might improve the recommendations or perchance those human beings discover that the drugs do no longer help and in basic terms experience the might desire to end it. Anti depressant drugs are far extra than prescribed and are given as a rapid restoration as a replace of medical care that could desire to probable help alot of folk out extra desirable than the meds. try changing a number of your conduct and the human beings you draw close around and that could get you feeling extra useful with out the drugs. in case you're healthful you have a tendency to be happier.

some drugs that are given to someone with a " different " brain chemistry can drive that person over the edge. tho theyd have to have something wrong with them in the first place.
