We've mucked up an already bad situation.
The problem is a republic of Iraq was a futile notion from the get-go and by the get-go I mean 1919.
Iraq was created by victorious European powers following WWI. Iraq was carved out of the area without the say of the peoples living there. This is the main reason for all the in-fighting as these seperate groups particularly the Sunnis and Shias fight for dominance

The war in Iraq has been a complete success.
Army contractors are making billions of dollars in profits and their CEO have seen their salaries doubled.
Oil companies are raking in billions in profits from oil taken from Iraq, which requires an ongoing, permanent presence of the troops in the territory to protect the interests of these big businesses.
Bush got his holy war.
Cheney got his profits from Halliburton.
Israel got US fighting its own enemies, then it will be Iran and Syria, which reveals that Israel rules the world by a proxi.
Silvertein got his own brand new World Trade Center.
Everything is as it was designed. A complete success. Unfortunately it looks such a screw up to good people. No wonder, when a country like US has to borrow day in day out from China everything it spends to keep the farce going on.

The greedy conservative neocons have:
- Killed 720,461 Iraqi civilians.
- Seriously injured 1,296,830 Iraqi civilians.
- Killed 3,312 United States military.
- Wounded 24,314 United States military.
- Successfully prevented Iraq from using the Euro as a basis for oil exchange.
- Redistributed wealth under the smoke screen of war. Made huge wind-fall profits for select corporate stock owners.
- Took away many of our civil rights using the excuse of "war" which is really an occupation.
- Manipulated public opinion usnig the propaganda machine called mass media.
- Established secure facilities to assure the United States has a strategic occupation of territory with very profitable oil resources in the Middle East.
- Prevented the collapse of the United States economy through massive deficit spending.
- Spent $418,322,610,500.00 on the war in Iraq (estimated as of today). This was well spent to enrich the very wealthy, however..
Based on pure objectives that the administration seems to have, I thiink that we can say "mission accomplished."

We have again shown the world that we are a bully. We have cost Americans their lives and traversed a nation that collectively does not want us there. We have created enough animosity towards this nation we now pay 2 times the cost for oil. Worst of all we have shaken the trust of the American public in our government. All that and I am still scratchin' my head wondering why. 1 2 3 what are we fighting 4?[Country Joe and The Fish 1969]
