liberalism emphasizes individual rights. It seeks a society characterized by freedom of thought for individuals, limitations on power (especially of government and religion), the rule of law, the free exchange of ideas, a market economy that supports free private enterprise, and a transparent system of government in which the rights of all citizens are protected. In modern society, liberals favor a liberal democracy with open and fair elections, where all citizens have equal rights by law and an equal opportunity to succeed.

Is paranoia? Is delusion?

If you consider a rabid hatred of a single enemy, bush for instance, which is the basis for socialism, ie a common enemy, this hatred takes on the underpinnings of a delusional paranoia. So by inference it could be.

Because of ambitions to change human beings, communitarianism is a form of elitism. Its advocates have the feeling that they have been chosen to advise, to moralize, to know better than the 'normal' people what is right or wrong, what the people should do, what will be good for them. They want us not only to be free, but to be good, just, moral as well. Of course, in their definition of what is good, just and moral. - Vaclav Klaus

If so, then our nation is an insane asylum because liberalism was the philosophy of our Founding Fathers, the basis for the US Constitution, and the foundation of our nation. America’s was the first 100% secular government in human history.

Conservatives have hated the Constitution from the time it was drafted and have made numerous attempts to amend and rewrite it so they can replace the secular democratic republic of the Founding Fathers with a quasi-theocratic totalitarian government based on the brutally judgmental and humanity hating doctrine of their Old Testament God.

Aren’t they just like spoiled children? No matter how much you do for them, it is never enough. And when they are not whining and complaining, they are ragging on you for every little problem in their pampered little lives.

Pot. Kettle. Black.

Liberalism and Conservatism as used in the US are no more than two sides of the same reactionary coin. If we as a species would attempt to move beyond coercion and violence as an everyday, necessary occurrence, maybe we wouldn't have to resort to such mindless bickering as is required under partisan politics..

No it is not. Liberalism is acquired by critical thinking. Questions like this are asked by low intelligence people, who can only remember four word phases and jingos ("canned mantra") after hearing them repeatedly on talk radio, then repeating them in the form of a question.

If my vote counts, I'd say it appears to be. Seriously, these people "think" and perceive differently.

Logic escapes them (though they'll argue that point). Also, They don't value history - the past holds a lot of valuable information.

They also use the same phrases, like a meditation mantra.
For instance: Bush lied, Halliburton, Gonzales, Cheney, when they don't have an answer, they have their "canned mantra".

no, they have some good ideas, like welfare (to a certain extent), and helping the environment. Liberalism is known for its morals though, thats why a mix of liberalism with conservatism is much better.
