A perfect game means that you did not allow any walks or hits. A no hitter is simply put - the other team gets no hits, but did get runners on base with walk or hit by pitch.
What makes a perfect game so amazing is that it is truly "perfect" - no men on base the entire game. 27 straight outs.

A perfect game is when no batter from the other team gets on base. If a player gets on by an error, a walk, or a hit by pitch, but does not get a hit. Then it is ony a no-hitter. Like tonights game, he walked one batter, so it was just a no-hitter, not a perfect game. Even though the runner was picked off, it is still only a no -hitter.

I a perfect game no runner reaches first base for any reason.
27 Batters 27 Outs.
You could lose a no hit game.
I once watch a game on TV.
Check me if I missed some thing but Don Newcome pitched a game in the 50s giving up 1 base hit who was out on a double play so he ended up facing only 27 batters.
On No hitter, No perfect game. But is was a good game any way.
Once saw Sam Jones of the Cubs pitch a no hitter.
He walked the 1st 3 batters in the ninth & then I believe he struck out the side for a no hitter

A no-hitter is just that--a pitcher gives up no hits. He may walk some hitters, his team might make errors behind him, and runs may score, but if nothing is scored a hit, it's a no-hitter.
A perfect game is 27 up, 27 down. In order. No exceptions. You can understand how difficult this is to accomplish.
Baseball has a no-hitter, or even more than one, almost every year, but perfect games are pretty rare.

I think the difference is that in a perfect game no one reaches base. During a no-no someone can reach base by a walk (or I think even a fielding error) and as long as no one reaches base by a hit it is a no-hitter.

a perfect game is a game in which a pitcher retires 27 straight batters without allowing any baserunners. a no-hitter is a game when a pitcher gives up no hits but does allow a baserunner either by a walk or an error or hit batsman. in fact.. i once threw a no-hitter in little league and got the loss because my team made so many errors.

In a perfect game, no runner reaches base by any means.
In a no-hitter, a batter-runner can reach by a walk, an error, being hit by a pitch, etc. Just as long as that etc isn't a hit.

A perfect game is where the pitcher throws to only 27 batters(the fewest possible), retiring everyone he faces with noone reaching 1st base fro any reason. The no- hitter is precisely that=no hits.

Perfect game means no batter reaches base in any way. No walks, hits, errors, hit batters....nothing. In a no hitter it simply means the pitcher didn't give up any hits.

In a no hitter no one gets a hit. But someone can still score by being walked in. In a perfect game there is no runs scored by the other team and they get them out three up and three down.
