its like this. My mom and dad were never married and ive only seen my dad like 5 times and that was 8-9 years ago. Now i found out my dad talks to my mother once in a blue moon and that he wants back in my life. Should i let him back in my life or not?

srry im 13 i hear he lives in missouri and for things about him he is black(but who cares) he never keeps his promises or anything he says he calls and cancels the time hes supposed to come and see me(when i was lil). Wat i dont understand was that he had all that time to be with me then then he just left anf know like 8 or 9 years later he wants back in my life:[ oh and hes been to jail but for nothin big and that doesnt really matter either

Well, maybe the old wounds between your mother and father have healed enough. You don't know what went on or what went wrong. Asking us on yahoo isn't your best bet. You need to do what YOU WANT TO DO. My feeling is this:
You should meet him on YOUR terms and you decide whether you want your father in your life. A father is not a bad thing to have. Make sure if you have questions that you write them down so you don't forget them. You do what is best for you in your life. OK? Best of luck! ellie
